The walls that divide our rooms, the boundaries that separate us from others, are not really real. They are mental constructs, barriers that we erect to protect ourselves. We do this inadvertently, usually without realizing it. We cannot see through walls, so we invent ways to make them visible by marking them with flags or paint.

Unconsciously, we also try to make these boundaries disappear by drawing them in creative ways. This is why some people like to go exploring the world through the eyes of a child. They do this to give themselves freedom and to break out of their own cages.
